THE CROSSFIT 4566 WAY

"I am extremely passionate and proud of the community of members, families and coaches that we've built at CrossFit 4566!

It was always my vision to provide an amazing space where any person or child regardless of ability could come in to a world class facility, be surrounded by great people to support their long term health and fitness through the crossfit journey with the goal of being best version of themselves".

CrossFit 4566 is based in the paradise suburb of Noosa. Crossfit 4566 is passionate about its members and welcomes all people of any ability. The box was started by Richard Kelly an ex-professional rugby union player who found Crossfit through his rehabilitation after a career ending injury.

Richard has been involved in the fitness industry since 1997 and believed strongly in the Crossfit methodology through his own experiences as a crossfit athlete and coach as well as seeing how the crossfit training and community changes people’s lives.

CrossFit 4566 is unique because of our amazing Community!

The desire and commitment to get healthier, stronger and fitter both physically and mentally is the common bond that we share.

"We value integrity, tenacity and hard work over aesthetics and ego."

OUR CROSSFIT COMMUNITY

Candice

I started training with Rich in his garage over 2 1/2 years ago because I was over 110kg, unhappy and very unfit. I wanted to become stronger and healthier to be a better role model for my daughter and to live a longer and fuller life with my family!

Over time I have seen Crossfit4566 expand into an amazing place where I daily feel inspired to be the best version of myself.

Since starting with Rich I have lost over 35kg and been able to keep it off. I am able to complete workouts and achieve things in the box that I would never have thought possible. Most importantly it has taught me to love what my body is capable of and not what it looks like.

We have created a community that’s purpose is to encourage and support each individual as they progress on their personal journey. I feel privileged every day to be a small part of those journeys. I often get tears of pride watching members achieve their goals and seeing them continue to turn up and be better than they were the day before.

The guidance and support of Rich and the other coaches has not only helped me to become a better athlete, it also helps my mental health to be in a positive and nurturing environment that is without judgment.

It is the community spirit and support of Rich and the other coaches that makes CrossFit4566 an inspiring place to be able to train in and continue to work on skills and goals alongside amazing people.

"a community that’s purpose is to encourage and support each individual as they progress on their personal journey."

Jannene

Hi, my name is Jannene. I am 58 years old and have been with CrossFit 4566 for the past four and a half years.

My motivation for joining was when I realised that I was unable to do ONE situp and shocked that I was unable to skip, run more than a few hundred meters or jump over a 6 inch high bar (SERIOUSLY!)

CrossFit 4566 has now changed my life, I am happier and healthier however the best thing of all is that I am now STRONG!

Watching what women my age, and older are achieving is what drives me.

"We are AWESOME and WE CAN DO IT!"

YOUR CROSSFIT 4566 TEAM

"Our coaches are not only highly qualified but have many years of experience. It is our philosophy that coaches should be humanitarians. They should care about the athlete as a person first and athlete second."

Richard Kelly

Richard has always been involved in strength and conditioning both as a career as well as to develop his rugby ability. He started as a fitness manager at one of the largest fitness club in south africa (The H&R Club) at a branch in Durban which he did while he was pursuing his rugby career.

Richard started his sports career as a professional rugby union player however through injury he retired early which led him to coaching rugby union and continuing his journey in the fitness industry then later martial arts which led him to getting his black belt in karate. In 2011 after another knee injury Richard longed for group type training when he found CrossFit which Richard owes his successful and speedy recovery. He found Crossfit Durban and started his journey under trainer Andy Craig. Richard is a real believer in the passion and strong community that comes with the crossfit culture. He has competed in the crossfit open since 2011 and also went to the Africa regional as team member of CrossFit Durb’s.

The family moved to Australia where Richard continued his training and competing in CrossFit. He affiliated CrossFit 4566 in January 2016 and runs both adults classes and a strong crossfit kids program. for more information contact Richard on info@crossfit4566.com

CF KIDS

“Based on the principle of Mechanics, Consistency and then Intensity, CrossFit Kids emphasizes good movement throughout childhood and adolescence. Consistently good mechanics translates to physical literacy, enhanced sports performance and fewer sports injuries for kids. Not only that, a vast body of research indicates that exercise is beneficial to cognitive function, which means consistent adherence to the program can have a positive impact on children’s academic achievement.

CrossFit Kids is meant to be BIG fun for all ages. Broad-Inclusive-General fun. Fun means we provide an active alternative to sedentary pursuits, which means less childhood obesity and all-around better health for our children. The program is scalable for any age or experience level and accounts for the varied maturation status one can find in a class full of kids.” CrossFit HQ
